British Architect Robert Adam

The son of a Scottish architect, Robert Adam was able to combine arrogance, social climbing and artistic elegance to become one of Britain's most sought-after architects and interior designers of his day. His work fell out of popular favor by 1780, but he continued working in public structures and turned extensively to furniture design.
