Asian Mothers and American Daughters
[ send me this paper ]
The trend toward multicultural understanding has made an impact in Asian literature in the past decade. This 8 page paper examines the relationships between the women in The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan and The Woman Warrior by Maxine Hong Kingston as defined by the cultural representation of language and the use of language to bridge the gap between the Chinese world and the American.
